Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Sr SSPA Applications Engineer to join the Defense & Aerospace High-Power RF Solutions team. The role bridges customers with the SSPA design organization to translate requirements into product needs.

The ideal candidate brings strong RF/microwave knowledge, hands-on SSPAs experience, and excellent communication to engage with customers, BD teams, and internal teams. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of RF/microwave engineering experience.
• Strong RF/microwave fundamentals including gain, power, efficiency, linearity, and impedance matching.
• Experience with RF power amplifier systems, preferably SSPAs.
• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, SATCOM, radar, electronic warfare, or communications applications.
• Familiarity with RF simulation tools such as ADS, AWR, HFSS, CST, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with RF test equipment including VNAs, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, power meters, and oscilloscopes.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary technical interface between customers and the SSPA design engineering team.
• Support customer inquiries related to Qorvo’s SSPA performance, integration, operation, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Evaluate customer application requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Support proposal efforts, technical reviews, and customer presentations.
• Work closely with design engineers to ensure customer requirements are properly understood and implemented.
• Analyze RF performance data and communicate results to customers and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain application notes, technical documentation, and product support materials.
• Gather customer feedback and market requirements to help guide future product roadmaps and product enhancements.
• Support trade shows, customer visits, and design reviews as required.
