Job summary

Micron Technology seeks a Senior Engineer (E3) to validate enterprise SSD firmware, focusing on NVMe front-end features and AI/ML-driven test improvements. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in SSD firmware testing, firmware validation, or firmware development.
• Strong knowledge of NVMe architecture, storage protocols, PCIe, and host-to-device interactions.
• Experience with Python-based test automation, debugging firmware issues, and analyzing hardware/firmware interactions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SSD firmware test strategies across development, qualification, and sustaining phases.
• Design and implement tests for firmware features, NVMe protocols, security capabilities, and system behaviors.
• Analyze failures from regressions, customer issues, and field returns to identify root cause and drive resolution.
• Build and maintain Python-based automation, regression frameworks, and test coverage reporting.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams on feature validation, debug, design reviews, and AI-enabled process improvements.
