Job summary

A-Line Staffing is hiring a Software Development Engineer – SSD Firmware Validation & DevOps for a Fortune 500 company in Longmont, CO. This is a full-time, in-office role offering hands-on firmware validation, test automation, and DevOps responsibilities.

Expect CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes usage, and cross-team collaboration to improve reliability and security. The position emphasizes strong debugging, testing, and software development fundamentals, with opportunities to contribute to product

Qualifications

5–7 years of software development engineering and CI/CD experience.
Debugging skills are required.
Hands-on software testing and test automation experience.
Experience developing or maintaining automated test frameworks and solutions.
Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
Experience with source-control management and modern development workflows.
Experience with build processes, testing, deployment, and production or engineering operations.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work across software and infrastructure components.
Experience applying software development best practices, including: coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, automated testing, deployment and operations.

Responsibilities

Support SSD firmware validation and testing activities.
Design, develop, and maintain automated testing solutions.
Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines supporting SSD firmware validation and Product Security Infrastructure.
Develop software, scripts, and automation to support engineering and testing activities.
Work with Kubernetes and related infrastructure supporting automated development and testing environments.
Analyze software and system requirements to understand functionality and expected behavior.
Support integration between software, firmware, hardware, and testing environments.
Develop software using appropriate programming, scripting, and/or database technologies.
Troubleshoot software, firmware validation, test automation, and CI/CD issues.
Identify and correct programming errors and test failures.
Develop software enhancements in response to evolving engineering requirements.
Support software testing, deployment, maintenance, and ongoing evolution.
Participate in code reviews and follow established development standards.
Utilize source-control and build-management processes.
Apply software development best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
Improve test coverage, automation, reliability, and engineering efficiency.
Collaborate with development, firmware, validation, DevOps, and product security engineering teams.
Support ongoing engineering commitments and business-critical validation activities
