Job summary

Ursa Major seeks a Senior Responsible Engineer for Solid Missile Systems to lead the SRM program, directing a team of design, systems, analysis, and manufacturing engineers through development and deployment.

You will own product architecture, drive design maturity, and coordinate qualification activities, including ballistic, thermal, and structural analyses, to ensure production-ready hardware.

• Demonstrated technical leadership across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong systems thinking and ability to balance performance, reliability, cost, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and evolution of SRM architecture across programs.
• Lead product maturity through iterative design, build and test campaigns.
• Plan and coordinate qualification activities including design-for-qualification and safety testing.
• Oversee propulsion performance analyses including mass properties and thermal management.
• Ensure best practices for design-for-manufacture and unit-cost considerations.
