Job summary

Arctiq is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to lead reliability strategy for large-scale government systems. You will implement SRE practices, drive SLO-based management, and mentor engineers while coordinating with government stakeholders to ensure resilience and performance.

You will define SLOs, design telemetry pipelines, govern IaC standards, and lead incident responses. A strong background in Go/Python/Java, Kubernetes, and RMF compliance is required for success.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps and distributed systems.
• Experience with Go, Python or Java and Linux internals.
• Extensive production Kubernetes and cloud architecture expertise.
• Proven ability to define and meet SLOs for high-availability systems.
• Experience navigating RMF processes and communicating with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define SRE strategy including SLOs, error budgets, and observability pipelines.
• Design and govern IaC standards and automation tooling for complex recovery and scaling.
• Act as Incident Commander for major outages and drive RCA processes.
• Lead security-as-code integration within DevSecOps pipelines per RMF/NIST 800-53.
• Mentor mid-level SREs and developers to promote reliability across the org.
