SIG Susquehanna is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for the Predictions desk to ensure reliability, performance, and scale of critical trading systems. You will build tooling, automation, and observability in a cloud-native, Kubernetes-based environment on AWS/EKS, collaborate with quants and traders, and own production readiness and incident response.

This hands-on role requires deep experience with distributed systems, data infrastructure, and strong communication to drive outages to zero

Qualificações

• 10+ years of professional experience in technology (software engineering, site reliability engineering, or a similar hands-on technical role).
• 5+ years supporting production systems in a containerized environment (Kubernetes strongly preferred; AKS and/or EKS experience a plus).
• Experience with AWS (EKS, IAM, networking, managed data services) and/or multi-cluster Kubernetes operations.
• Strong software engineering and scripting skills, especially in Python, Go and/or bash.
• Hands-on experience with core production technologies such as Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, PostgreSQL, Redis, Git, and GitOps/CD tooling (e.g. ArgoCD).
• Strong troubleshooting skills in a highly distributed environment.
• Excellent communication skills and comfort working closely with developers, quants and traders.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build, and maintain tooling to monitor the health, performance, and correctness of production services.
• Write production-grade software and scripts to support reliability, deployment workflows, and operational visibility.
• Own and improve observability across metrics, logs, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
• Operate and support core data and messaging infrastructure, including Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Develop and maintain GitOps based workflows, CI/CD, containerization, and deployment pipelines.
• Own production readiness for new system changes, ensuring safe rollout and high availability.
• Investigate and resolve production issues across distributed systems, Linux, Kubernetes, networking, and application layers.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of incident response, monitoring, alerting, and post-mortem practices.
• Serve as a member of an on-call schedule to handle production issues, drive incident resolution, and contribute to post-incident improvements.
