Job summary

Susquehanna International is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (Predictions) to ensure reliable, scalable cloud-native services across trading infrastructure. You will design and implement tooling and automation, build observability, and maintain core data and messaging systems while collaborating with developers, quants, and traders.

This hands-on role emphasizes Kubernetes, GitOps, and incident readiness, with responsibilities spanning monitoring, deployment pipelines, and on-call incident

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of professional technology experience.
• 5+ years in containerized production systems (Kubernetes preferred).
• Experience with AWS (EKS, IAM, networking) and multi-cluster Kubernetes.
• Strong software engineering and scripting (Python, Go, Bash).
• Hands-on production tech such as Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, PostgreSQL, Redis, Git, and GitOps tools (ArgoCD).
• Strong troubleshooting in a distributed environment.
• Excellent communication with developers, quants, and traders.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain tooling to monitor health, performance, and correctness of production services.
• Write production-grade software and scripts to support reliability and deployment workflows.
• Own observability across metrics, logs, and alerting with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki.
• Operate core data and messaging infrastructure, including Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Develop and maintain GitOps-based workflows, CI/CD, containerization, and deployment pipelines.
• Own production readiness for new system changes and safe rollouts.
• Investigate and resolve production issues across distributed systems, Linux, Kubernetes, networking, and apps.
• Contribute to post-mortems and incident response improvements.
• Serve on an on-call schedule to handle production issues.
