Job summary

Zscaler’s Sr. Site Reliability Engineer (Federal) role in Crystal City, VA is a hybrid position reporting to the Government Cloud SRE Manager.

You will manage operations in US Government classified environments, including deployments, on-call, incidents, and deployment synchronization. You will oversee cloud infrastructure (AWS, private clouds, containers, VMs), develop automation scripts, containerized services, and monitoring to minimize disruption while advancing DevOps practices and robust

Qualifications

• Active US Government Secret security clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of SRE experience in operations and engineering.
• Strong Linux, networking, and automation experience (Ansible, Terraform); Python, AWS ECS, Kubernetes; monitoring and vulnerability management.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations tasks for US Government classified environments, including deployments, on-call duties, incident management, and deployment syncs.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure components such as AWS, private cloud environments, containers, and VMs to ensure stability and scalability.
• Develop scripts, containerized services, and monitoring mechanisms to automate operations tasks and minimize service disruption.
• Build new and enhance existing services within classified environments while driving DevOps best practices through documentation and escalation management.
