Zscaler is hiring a Senior Site Reliability Engineer for Federal operations in Crystal City, VA, reporting to the Manager of Site Reliability Engineering in Government Cloud. The role focuses on keeping the world’s largest cloud security platform secure and resilient in classified environments, with emphasis on automation and incident response.

The candidate will manage deployments, monitor infrastructure, and develop automation to ensure reliability while upholding strict security requirements

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging security-focused AI/ML solutions.
• Active US Government Secret security clearance is required as a condition of employment.
• Experience in both operations and engineering environments within large-scale cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage deployments, on-call duties, incident management, and deployment syncs for products in government-classified environments.
• Oversee cloud infrastructure components (AWS, private clouds, containers, VMs) for stability and scalability.
• Develop scripts and containerized services to automate operations and reduce service disruption.
• Build and enhance services within classified environments while promoting DevOps best practices and escalation management.
