Zscaler, a leader in cloud security and AI-enabled transformation, seeks a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Federal) in a hybrid role based in Crystal City, VA. You will help run the world’s largest cloud security platform in classified environments, ensuring secure, scalable operations and incident readiness across multi-tenant architectures.

Ideal candidates bring 3+ years SRE experience, strong Python and Kubernetes skills, and a US Government Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Active US Government Secret security clearance is required.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years of SRE experience in Operations and Engineering.
Proficiency in Linux administration, network troubleshooting, and automation tools like Ansible and Terraform.
Strong Python skills, container-based architectures including AWS ECS and Kubernetes, and monitoring (vulnerability scanning, patch management, reporting).
Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and AI-driven solutions in security contexts.

Responsibilities

Manage operational tasks for products in US Government classified environments, including deployments, on-call duties, incident management, and deployment syncs.
Oversee cloud infrastructure components (AWS, private clouds, containers, VMs) for stability and scalability.
Develop scripts, containerized services, and monitoring to automate operations and reduce disruption.
Build and enhance services within classified environments while promoting DevOps practices and documentation.
