Job summary

Intellum is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to drive reliability, scalability, and modernization of our platform infrastructure. You will own architectural direction, mentor engineers, and shepherd container‑orchestrated, portable cloud setups across providers.

This senior, hands‑on role emphasizes operating across cloud environments, implementing observability, SRE practices, and cost-aware designs to support enterprise customers and a remote‑first culture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, or SRE with production systems.
• Experience with multiple cloud providers, with depth in AWS or Google Cloud.
• Container orchestration and Kubernetes in production.
• Infrastructure as code using Terraform or comparable tooling.
• Experience building or improving CI/CD systems and deployment infrastructure.
• Strong incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Linux administration with scripting in Ruby or Python.
• SaaS reliability and on-call experience.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure modernization across multi-cloud and containerized infrastructure.
• Design and maintain infrastructure as code across clouds to support portability and scalability.
• Improve the reliability and maturity of CI/CD systems and deployment tooling.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across the Systems Engineering team.
• Establish and evolve SLI and SLO practices, plus monitoring and load-testing capabilities.
• Lead platform incidents, including troubleshooting, RCA, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Security and Engineering on access controls and hardening.
• Help define the technical roadmap for the Systems Engineering function.
