Job summary

Oracle is seeking a skilled Site Reliability Engineer to solve complex infrastructure problems, build automation, and improve availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products and services. You will work on Oracle National Security Realms, collaborating with global teams to deliver high-quality cloud operations.

This role requires participation in a 24/7 shift rotation, including nights and holidays, and demands strong scripting skills and experience with cloud technologies.

Qualifications

• Technology related bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience in site reliability engineering or operations
• Ability to work a 24/7 shift rotation including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point during complex incidents
• Manage and execute complex Change Management tickets
• On-board new services and tools and ensure operational readiness
• Mentor and train SREs to build team capability
• Create and maintain documentation for operational processes
• Identify manual tasks and drive automation to reduce toil
• Automate tasks to enable continuous delivery and availability
• Design safer solutions and ensure realm compliance
• Resolve incidents, service requests, and change requests promptly
• Collaborate with global service and engineering teams
• Define change management, CI, and deployment best practices
• Contribute to real-world production architectures and scalable systems
• Troubleshoot large, complex, interconnected systems
