Job summary

Oracle United States is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to solve complex infrastructure cloud problems and build automation for high availability and efficiency across Oracle products and services.

You will design software, deploy scalable architectures, and collaborate with global teams while supporting a 24/7 on-call rotation that includes nights, weekends and holidays. Strong Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform skills and programming in Python/ Shell/ Java are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a technology-related field.
• Experience with Linux systems, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) and automation.
• Experience with CI/CD, incident management, and on-call duties.

Responsibilities

• Serve as escalation point for junior SREs during incidents.
• Manage complex Change Management tickets to minimize service disruption.
• Onboard new services and ensure operational readiness and integration.
• Mentor and train SREs to build team capability.
• Create and maintain documentation for processes and support.
• Identify manual tasks and drive automation to reduce toil.
• Automate deployment and maintain high availability across realms.
• Ensure timely resolution of incidents, service requests, and changes.
• Collaborate with global service and engineering teams.
• Define change management, CI/CD, and deployment best practices.
• Develop scalable, production-grade architectures and systems.
