Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to operate, scale, and continuously improve a cloud-native platform on AWS and Kubernetes. You’ll drive reliability, observability, and automation, collaborating with security and product teams to reduce toil and incidents.

The role emphasizes hands-on engineering, GitOps workflows with ArgoCD, Terraform, Helm, and GitHub Actions, with a strong focus on secure, scalable infrastructure and incident response.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in SRE/DevOps/Platform Eng or cloud infra.
• Hands-on AWS production experience.
• Kubernetes expertise including multi-tenancy.
• Experience with ArgoCD in GitOps deliveries.
• Proficient with Helm.
• Terraform/Terragrunt for infra provisioning.
• Scripting in Bash and/or Python.
• Experience with CI/CD, GitHub Actions.
• Strong troubleshooting across Linux, containers, IAM, networking.
• Observability and monitoring expertise.
• Ownership mindset with incident handling.
• Collaboration across engineering, security and platform teams.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent.
• Ability to use AI to improve workflows.
• AI-assisted work governance and data validation.
• Integrity and accountability in final deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Ensure reliability, availability, and performance of production infra and platform services.
• Operate and scale Kubernetes platforms with multi-tenant support.
• Manage GitOps deployments with ArgoCD and Helm.
• Drive infra provisioning with Terraform/Terragrunt.
• Build and support CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions.
• Lead incident response and post-incident improvements.
• Reduce operational toil via scripting and tooling.
• Advance observability with logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, alerts.
• Support secure secrets, IAM-aware operations, and guardrails.
• Collaborate with application, security, and platform teams to improve delivery outcomes.
