Qualifications

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases and database solutions.
• Create, modify, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Develop and implement database structures using best practices in database design, normalization, and data integrity.
• Analyze and optimize query performance through indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and SQL code tuning.
• Design and manage complex database operations utilizing joins, CTEs, temp tables, and window functions.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, including blocking, locking, deadlocks, and transaction-related concerns.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor SQL Server Agent jobs to support automated database operations and scheduled processes.
• Perform database backup, recovery, restoration, and disaster recovery activities to ensure data availability and business continuity.
• Implement and maintain database security by managing logins, users, roles, permissions, and data access controls.
• Utilize SSMS for database administration, development, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and support ETL processes using SSIS and related data integration tools.
• Create, maintain, and enhance reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions using SSRS and/or Power BI.
• Support and administer Azure SQL Database and Azure Managed Instance environments to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Design and maintain data integration and data movement solutions using Azure Data Factory.
• Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver database solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, version control, and deployment activities utilizing Git and Azure DevOps.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot database-related application issues, and assist with release deployments and post-deployment validation.
• Document database architecture, processes, procedures, and technical specifications to maintain operational excellence and knowledge sharing.
• Recommend and implement database improvements, performance enhancements, and best practices to ensure scalable and efficient database operations.
