Job summary

Agadia is seeking a Senior SQL Server Developer to support and optimize our SQL Server environments, ensuring high performance, availability, security, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL Server, advanced T-SQL development, performance tuning, and database administration.

This role covers troubleshooting, production deployments, building automation, and proactive issue resolution while performing DBA duties in tandem with development work.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases and database solutions to support business and application requirements.
• Create, modify, and maintain complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval.
• Develop and implement database structures using best practices in database design, normalization, and data integrity.
• Analyze and optimize query performance through indexing strategies, execution plan analysis, and SQL code tuning.
• Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, including blocking, locking, deadlocks, and transaction-related concerns.
• Configure, maintain, and monitor SQL Server Agent jobs to support automated database operations and scheduled processes.
