Job summary

Maitsys is seeking a seasoned SQL Server DBA to manage on-premises SQL Server environments and support .NET applications. You will handle provisioning, capacity planning, maintenance, security, and performance tuning across multiple environments.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of hands-on DBA experience with SQL Server 2022+, HA/DR implementations, and strong collaboration with development teams. On-prem role with responsibility for backups, monitoring, and incident response.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA in an on-premise environment.
• Proven experience supporting .NET applications and their backend databases.
• Strong experience with SQL Server versions 2022 and above.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain on-premises SQL Server instances.
• Manage database provisioning, capacity planning, and storage across physical/virtual servers.
• Perform routine maintenance: index rebuilds, statistics updates, integrity checks, and patching.
• Administer user roles, permissions, and security policies per least privilege.
• Monitor performance and resolve bottlenecks; optimize queries and T-SQL.
• Configure and manage SQL Server Agent jobs, alerts, and monitoring.
• Design, test, and implement backups and disaster recovery strategies.
• Maintain High Availability solutions (Always On, Clustering, Replication, Log Shipping).
• Collaborate with development teams to support day-to-day SQL builds across environments.
