Job summary

Machine Learning Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server DBA to manage and optimize enterprise SQL Server environments. You will design, deploy, and maintain SQL Server instances, ensure security and compliance, and lead HA/DR initiatives.

The role involves performance tuning, query optimization, and automation using PowerShell and T-SQL, with migrations to Azure SQL options. Collaboration with development teams is essential to improve procedures and database performance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a SQL Server DBA in enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with high availability, DR, backups, and security.
• Experience migrating to Azure SQL and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Proficient in T-SQL, performance tuning, and indexing.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server database environments.
• Perform SQL Server upgrades, migrations, patching, and version upgrades.
• Monitor database performance and troubleshoot complex database issues.
• Automate DBA activities with PowerShell and T-SQL.
• Manage Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, and mirroring.
• Implement backup and recovery strategies (full, differential, log).
• Develop and maintain DR and BC plans.
• Support migrations from on-prem to Azure SQL/Azure SQL MI.
• Work with development teams to optimize stored procedures, views, and triggers.
• Maintain documentation and operation procedures.
