Seneca Resources is seeking an experienced Senior SQL Server Database Administrator in New York, NY. This hybrid role combines hands-on DBA work with automation to support enterprise SQL Server environments powering critical applications.

You will manage Always On AGs, Failover Clustering, backups, and DR planning while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive database modernization and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience administering Microsoft SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 in enterprise environments.
• Deep knowledge of performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with Always On Availability Groups and Failover Clustering.
• Backup, restore, DR strategies, and high-availability planning.
• Strong T-SQL development and scripting in PowerShell/Python.

Responsabilités

• Administer and monitor SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
• Ensure high availability and recoverability for mission-critical databases.
• Performance tuning, index optimization, and query troubleshooting.
• Develop automation using T-SQL, PowerShell, and Python.
• Collaborate with infra, app, and dev teams on deployments.
