Job summary

Rooms To Go is seeking a hands-on Senior Database Developer in Seffner, Florida to design, develop, and optimize data solutions across Microsoft SQL Server and the Databricks Lakehouse Platform. You will own stored procedures, database objects, and data-movement processes supporting enterprise applications, partnering with backend .NET teams to deliver reliable data-access solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year hands-on Databricks development in production/enterprise.
• 6+ years of MS SQL Server development with strong T-SQL and SPs.
• Experience with Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, Databricks SQL, notebooks, and workflows.
• Proven ability to develop SQL for data movement, ETL/ELT, system integrations, and data retrieval.
• Strong performance tuning with execution plans, indexing, blocking, and concurrency.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL and Databricks Lakebase.
• Experience collaborating with .NET developers; Git and CI/CD for database code.
• Knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, Key Vault, Entra ID.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and enterprise compliance.
• Experience with AI/BI Genie or similar NL analytics tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support Databricks solutions including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and workflows.
• Establish catalogs, schemas, tables, and data-quality standards within Unity Catalog.
• Support data movement, ETL/ELT, batch processing, and incremental synchronization.
• Create reusable patterns and standards to enable enterprise Databricks adoption.
• Work with Databricks Lakebase and PostgreSQL for transactional and operational use cases.
• Build AI/BI Genie spaces using enterprise data and sample queries.
• Troubleshoot Databricks jobs, workflows, and data pipelines.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain SQL Server objects (stored procedures, functions, views, triggers).
• Write complex T-SQL for data movement, integrations, and retrieval; tune queries and indexes.
• Manage schemas, deployment scripts, and CI/CD pipelines; ensure data integrity and security.
• Collaborate with backend .NET developers to translate requirements into data-access patterns.
• Review queries using EF, Dapper, ADO.NET; participate in Agile ceremonies.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify data needs and deliver maintainable solutions.
