Job summary

Rooms To Go is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in Florida to architect, develop, and optimize end-to-end data solutions supporting AI, ML, and BI initiatives. You will lead complex pipelines on Databricks, design Snowflake-based data warehouses, and ensure scalable, secure data infrastructure.

You will mentor mid-level and junior engineers, collaborate with AI/ML teams, and stay ahead of cloud data trends to enable data-driven decision making across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of progressive experience in data engineering, with production-grade cloud data solutions.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, Spark, and large-scale data processing frameworks.
• Hands-on with Databricks, Delta Live Tables, and real-time streaming architectures.
• Strong data modeling skills including star schema design and slowly changing dimensions.
• Experience building cloud-based data environments (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP valuable).
• Experience enabling AI/ML lifecycles with data pipelines for training, feature tooling, and low-latency inference.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement scalable data pipelines on Databricks using Delta Live Tables and Spark.
• Lead design of modern Data Warehouse architectures with Snowflake and cloud-native best practices.
• Collaborate with AI/ML teams to integrate data pipelines for model training and monitoring.
• Serve as technical lead on cross-functional data projects involving analytics and data transformation.
• Develop data governance, security standards, and compliance controls across platforms.
• Optimize Databricks clusters and workflows for cost efficiency and reliability.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and architectural guidance.
• Stay current with data engineering trends and drive innovation.
