Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• At least 5 years of experience within a total information technology (IT) environment.
• At least 10 years of experience with the design, development and support of technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases across on-premises, Azure, and AWS cloud environments.
• Design, implement, and support HA/DR solutions including Always On, Failover Clustering, Replication, and Log Shipping.
• Perform database installations, configurations, patching, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle management for production and non-production environments.
• Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues to ensure platform stability.
• Lead production incident response, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve operational reliability.
• Partner with application development, infrastructure, DevOps, and security teams to support deployments and cloud modernization.
• Manage and enhance backup, recovery, business continuity, and disaster recovery strategies to meet resiliency requirements.
• Drive automation and governance while mentoring engineers and promoting database best practices.
