Job summary

TheCorporate is seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator in New York, NY to design, implement, and maintain SQL Server and Azure Managed Instance databases for enterprise applications.

You will perform installations, upgrades, migrations, security hardening, and performance tuning while collaborating with IT teams to ensure high availability and robust backup/recovery strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 8 years in IT with SQL Server/DBA responsibilities.
• Experience with Windows Server, SQL Server, Azure, and Always On High Availability.
• Certifications such as MCSE or Azure DBA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database technologies to ensure system availability targets are met.
• Perform core DBA tasks including data modeling, migrations, security configuration, and performance tuning.
• Coordinate with system admins, network engineers, and help desk to address infrastructure and database issues.
• Mentor junior database staff and document standards for enterprise-wide use.
