Job summary

InComm Payments seeks a Senior Database Engineer to join an Agile team supporting the Alder platform. You will own SQL Server databases, reporting, and related infrastructure enabling operational, financial, and analytical capabilities.

The role collaborates with internal business teams and external customers, reporting to the Director of Software Engineering, and requires strong ETL, BI, and deployment skills in a fast-paced FinTech environment.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Transact-SQL development for analytical data stores (tables, stored procedures, indexes).
• Experience with SSIS for workflow orchestration and SSRS/RDL for BI reporting.
• ETL concepts and data warehouse implementations for reliable, scalable data pipelines.
• PowerShell scripting for automation and deployment tasks.
• GitHub-based source control and collaborative development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate product requirements against existing architecture and standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain database objects with version control and traceability.
• Apply QA and verification practices to assets and changes.
• Coordinate release activities across development, staging, and production environments.
• Maintain data reliability and performance; investigate operational issues.
