Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. SQL Database Administrator to partner on a large enterprise IT contract for the DoD.

Responsibilities include design, schema, access control, performance tuning, backups, and patching for SQL Server and SharePoint DB services in a 24/7 environment. The role requires a bachelor’s degree with extensive experience, DoD 8140.03 IT System Admin Intermediate certification, and the ability to work with senior management and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8–12 years of prior relevant experience (or higher).
• DoDM 8140.03 IT System Admin Intermediate certification requirements (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC or higher).

Responsibilities

• Perform senior level database administration tasks and review the technical work of others.
• Design databases, identify structures, define schemas, manage access, optimize queries, document and upgrade instances.
• Review data integrity, backups, recovery procedures, and propose enhancements.
• Monitor backend data synchronization applications and external data sources.
• Analyze customer problems and implement corrective actions to restore operations.
• Collaborate on technical solutions with senior management and clients.
• Support 24/7/365 mission operations and maintain documentation for ITOC staff.
