Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Sr. SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to support a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD. The role emphasizes database design, performance tuning, backups, patches, and data protection across enterprise SQL Server deployments.

Responsibilities include data integrity reviews, dictionary maintenance, and upgrades. Mentoring junior staff and coordinating with management and clients are essential. TS/SCI with polygraph is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8–12 years of relevant experience or higher
• Master’s degree with 6–10 years of relevant experience preferred
• DoDM 8140.03 IT Admin Intermediate certification required (Cloud+, GICSP, SSCP, Security+ CE, GSEC, or higher)
• Clearance: TS/SCI with polygraph required

Responsibilities

• Perform senior-level database administration tasks and review the work of others
• Design database structures, schemas, and access controls
• Monitor and optimize SQL performance and backups
• Maintain documentation, recovery procedures, and security patches
• Mentor junior team members and coordinate with senior management and clients
