Job summary

Twenty-Six Defense is seeking a Senior Supplier Quality Engineer to lead supplier quality initiatives and drive CAPA activities in a highly regulated environment. You will collaborate with Supply Chain, Engineering, and Operations to elevate supplier performance and quality maturity.

The role requires strong experience in AS9100/ISO9001, QIP leadership, and data-driven problem solving. Domestic and international travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field required.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Quality roles.
• Strong expertise in supplier development and corrective action methodologies.
• Deep understanding of AS9100, ISO9001, and aerospace quality requirements such as AS9102, AS9145.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, execution, and monitoring of Supplier Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs).
• Provide on-site and virtual supplier coaching on process capability and corrective action effectiveness.
• Analyze supplier performance data to identify trends and priorities.
• Facilitate 8D, DMAIC, PFMEA, and root cause analysis to resolve issues.
• Evaluate and approve supplier corrective actions for containment and prevention.
• Ensure supplier quality systems align with AS9100, NADCAP, and contract requirements.
• Support new supplier onboarding, audits, and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with Engineering on technical reviews and drawing interpretation.
• Drive COPQ reduction and improve metrics like PPM and OTD.
• Support MRB activities related to supplier issues and timely resolutions.
• Promote lean and data-driven quality improvements.
