Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety is seeking an experienced technician to install, service, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems at customer sites in Louisville and surrounding areas.

You will diagnose deficiencies, perform repairs, and ensure adherence to NFPA standards while documenting work and communicating with customers and the team. This full-time role offers growth and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Requires experience with installing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and local codes is essential.
• Ability to diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
• Must maintain a clean driving record if driving is required.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform installations, service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and perform corrective repairs.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete tasks.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Accurately and timely complete required documentation and service reports.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Guide and support entry-level technicians and apprentices.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

5+ years of experience performing Installations, service, maintenance, and repair of fire sprinkler systems

Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems, service procedures, and applicable codes

Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license
