Job summary

Boston Legacy FC is seeking a Manager, Sports Turf & Grounds to lead day-to-day maintenance of all training surfaces at Brockton Performance Center in Brockton, MA. You will ensure world-class playing surfaces for the professional club and work closely with the Director of Grounds.

You will oversee a diverse grounds team, diagnose turf issues, plan maintenance, and coordinate with coaches and vendors. A degree in turfgrass science or 3+ years’ experience is required; hybrid work is available

Qualifications

• Degree in Turfgrass Science or related field or 3+ years of high-level turfgrass experience.
• Experience with sand-based root zones and cool-season grasses (bluegrass, ryegrass).
• Familiar with Google Workspace, Zoom, and SLACK; license within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and maintain multiple training surfaces including natural and artificial pitches and a dome.
• Monitor turf health, diagnose issues, and implement maintenance plans.
• Lead and manage full-time and part-time Grounds team members.
• Coordinate with coaches, vendors, and staff on irrigation, equipment, and event setup.
• Perform preventative maintenance on turf equipment and assist with matchday operations.
