Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking an experienced research administration professional to support the full lifecycle of sponsored awards. You will assist investigators with proposals, develop compliant budgets, and coordinate contracts and subawards across pre- to post-award activities.

Collaborating with research offices and external sponsors, you’ll help implement SOPs, optimize workflows, and ensure regulatory adherence while maintaining audit-ready records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline; four+ years in sponsored research or clinical research administration.
• Experience with sponsored programs policies, procedures, and compliance expectations.

Responsibilities

• Assist investigators with proposal development and submission materials.
• Develop detailed and compliant budgets and budget justifications.
• Ensure proposals meet sponsor and institutional requirements before submission.
• Support subcontract packages, biosketches, and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate review of clinical trial agreements and subawards.
• Collaborate with contracting staff to resolve budgetary and regulatory issues.
• Prepare summaries or documentation for negotiation processes.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and support sponsor inquiries.
