Job summary

Walt Disney World is seeking a Platform Engineer to own and optimize a large Splunk environment powering critical Disney experiences. You will manage on-prem infrastructure, ingest data from diverse sources, and build dashboards to support real-time operations across parks and resorts.

The role emphasizes reliability, observability, and automation, with strong collaboration with software and system teams to drive scalable, secure platform solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience with Splunk administration and development.
• Experience owning a Splunk environment end-to-end.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the full Splunk stack from infrastructure to dashboards.
• Design, deploy, and maintain Splunk infrastructure across on-premises environments.
• Install, configure, and optimize Splunk components (indexers, search heads, clustering).
• Manage both on-premise/physical servers and hybrid integrations.
• Build dashboards and alerts used by engineering and operations teams.
• Develop data pipelines and ingestion strategies from diverse sources.
