Job summary

CDW is seeking a senior Splunk engineer to design, implement, and manage Splunk solutions across on-premise and cloud environments, delivering advanced data analysis, monitoring, and visualization for our organization.

You will collaborate with application owners and network engineers to onboard data, optimize ingestion with SPL, and develop dashboards and alerts that support security and business insights, while ensuring performance through proactive maintenance.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on Splunk administration, implementation, and data analysis in medium-to-large enterprises
• Willingness to travel 10–20% to Phoenix, AZ
• US Citizenship required; Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and manage Splunk environments across on-premise and cloud
• Perform upgrades, patches, and maintenance for performance and security
• Monitor system health and troubleshoot performance/config/connectivity issues
• Collaborate with application owners and network engineers to identify data sources
• Develop onboarding processes for logs and metrics; parse, index, normalize data
• Write and optimize regex, data transforms, and event types for ingestion
• Create SPL queries to analyze data and deliver dashboards, reports, and alerts
