Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship with active Public Trust Level-4 or higher.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required.
• Deep knowledge of Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, and Splunk Observability Cloud; SPL mastery.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Architect and implement scalable, high-performance Splunk environments, including data ingestion pipelines, dashboards, alerts, and reports.
• Solution Innovation: Research, prototype, and develop Splunk-based solutions for analytics, security, or DevOps use cases.
• Infrastructure Management: Maintain indexing, search performance, and data retention strategies for system health and efficiency.
• Integration & Automation: Integrate Splunk with SIEM, DevOps tools, databases; automate tasks with scripting and CI/CD.
• Support & Troubleshooting: Escalation point to resolve complex operational issues and ensure reliability.
• Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Create comprehensive docs and mentor junior engineers.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure Splunk environments comply with Federal policies and standards; lead transitions (M-21-31 to M-26-14) and CISA analyses.
