Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Chattanooga at Cleveland is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead patient care in a national inpatient rehabilitation setting. You will guide patients through communication challenges, mentor staff, and collaborate within a supportive, technology-enabled environment.

Qualifications include state licensure and CCC, CPR within 30 days, and a minimum of two years of experience.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• Successful completion of SLP Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC).
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy or management; Master's/Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, mental, and emotional needs to aid in recovery.
• Assist with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegate and supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient victories along the way.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Speech Therapy or Management

Master's or Doctorate degree preferred

CPR certification (or obtained within 30 days)

State licensure or certification required

CCC Certification (Speech-Language Pathology)
