Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Chattanooga at Cleveland is seeking a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to lead our speech-language pathology team, guide patients through communication challenges, and deliver compassionate, personalized care in a collaborative hospital setting.

You will mentor colleagues, develop in-service education, supervise assistants, and contribute to a culture of excellence with access to cutting-edge technology and comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• Current licensure or certification required by state regulations.
• CCC certification
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in speech therapy; Master's or Doctorate degree preferred.
• Minimum of two years speech language pathology experience.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder (when eligible) or specialty professional certifications.

Responsibilities

• Providing direct care to patients and building rewarding relationships by understanding each patient's physical, emotional, and cognitive needs to aid in their recovery.
• Assisting with speech language in-service education and our speech language pathologist student program.
• Mentoring and training new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Delegating and supervising speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrating patient victories along the way.
