Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Wesley Chapel seeks a Senior Speech Language Pathologist to guide patients with speech and communication challenges and lead our SLP team in an inpatient rehabilitation setting.

You will mentor staff, oversee therapy services, and support patient-centered outcomes while delivering compassionate care. The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and ongoing professional growth within a national rehabilitation leader.

Qualifications

• Current state licensure or certification required.
• Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is required.
• CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Two years of speech language pathology experience minimum.
• Active on Therapy Clinical Ladder or specialty certifications as eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients and build rewarding relationships across their recovery.
• Lead in-service education and our student program for speech language pathology.
• Mentor and train new colleagues and other departments as needed.
• Supervise speech therapy assistants and technicians.
• Celebrate patient victories throughout the care journey.
