Job summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist at Honoka'a Hospital within Hawaii Health Systems Corporation (East Hawaii Region) provides diagnostic evaluations and direct speech-language and swallowing services across acute and long-term care settings. Collaboration with physicians, nursing, and other care team members develops individualized plans for adolescents to geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Hawaii State license to practice as a Speech‑Language Pathologist.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic evaluations and direct speech-language and swallowing services across acute and long-term care settings.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
• Monitor progress and document treatment and discharge information per standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members on progress and discharge planning.
• Provide age-specific, culturally responsive care.
