Job summary

Pikes Peak Post Acute in Oregon seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral, develop and obtain approval for treatment plans, and treat patients per the physician’s plan. You will supervise CFY/Speech Clinical Fellows and assist nursing staff with training of Restorative Aides.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Therapy; Master’s or Doctorate preferred.
• Licensed Speech Therapist in the state.
• Proficient with data entry in Casamba and Point Click Care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day of physician referral; document delays if needed.
• Develop an effective treatment plan and obtain approval from the referring physician.
• Treat patients according to the physician’s treatment plan and communicate progress to the health team.
• Supervise CFY/Speech Clinical Fellows and assist nursing staff with training of Restorative Aides.
• Record evaluations and daily/weekly progress notes per board and payer requirements.
• Instruct families and nursing staff in maintenance and discharge preparation for therapy services.
