Job summary

Pikes Peak Post Acute seeks a Staff Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents, communicate with families and physicians, and maintain comprehensive medical records. The role includes developing and updating individualized treatment plans, supervising CFY or students, and collaborating with the care team to support discharge planning.

Responsibilities also include providing in-services, ensuring regulatory compliance, and educating families on home programs and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine speech therapy needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop, implement, and update individual treatment plans to improve communication and swallowing.
• Supervise CFY or students in resident care and related activities.
• Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, and families regarding progress and discharge plans.
• Complete timely documentation in accordance with facility and payer requirements.
• Maintain safe treatment environment with infection control protocols.
