MITRE seeks a technically strong Lead Spectrum Engineer to provide leadership and hands-on RF/spectrum engineering for weather and environmental sensing missions. You will guide spectrum compatibility studies, perform analyses, and support system acquisitions while communicating results to government stakeholders.

The role demands on-site work a minimum of 4 days per week and active Top Secret/SCI clearance, with opportunities to mentor junior engineers and drive multi-disciplinary workstreams.

Formación

• Bachelor's or higher in a related technical field with relevant experience.
• Experience in spectrum engineering and RF systems.
• Strong modeling/analysis skills using MATLAB or Python.
• Active Top Secret/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship.
• On-site presence a minimum of 4 days per week.

Responsabilidades

• Lead spectrum band studies and EMI analyses for the 2.7–2.9 GHz band.
• Develop RF propagation, link-budget, interference analyses, and security considerations.
• Support acquisition lifecycle, requirements, and risk assessments for spectrum‑dependent systems.
• Apply RF/spectrum engineering to weather and mission critical systems; mentor engineers.
• Coordinate with government stakeholders and document technical findings.

Educación

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field

U.S. citizenship and Top Secret/SCI clearance
