Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Senior Clinical Lab Associate, Specimen Processing to manage day-to-day operations, support workflow, and lead automation troubleshooting. The role emphasizes data integrity and adherence to GDP, SOPs, and safety policies in a hospital/lab setting.

The position requires 2+ years in a lab or high-throughput environment and 1+ year of leadership experience; familiarity with CAP/GLP/GDP/CLIA and HIPAA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a laboratory, medical or high throughput environment.
• 1+ year of experience leading, mentoring and/or coaching others.
• General knowledge of CAP, GLP, GDP, CLIA, NYSDOH, and HIPAA.
• Proficient in Internet, email, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
• Maintain documentation of problems and resolutions following GDP.
• Lead department goals aligned with organizational priorities.
• Assist Training Department with reviewing materials and providing training as needed.
• Complete mandatory training and annual competencies within timelines.
