Job summary

Abbott seeks a Senior Clinical Lab Associate, Specimen Processing to lead day‑to‑day operations and drive efficiency in the Specimen Processing Department. You will troubleshoot production workflows, manage sample storage audits, and help maintain SOPs under supervision.

Responsibilities include supporting training activities, completing mandatory training, and ensuring compliance with GDP, CAP, GLP, CLIA, NYSDOH, and HIPAA while maintaining accurate data reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years in a laboratory, medical, or high-throughput environment.
• 1+ year of leading, mentoring, and/or coaching others.
• Knowledge of CAP, GLP, GDP, CLIA, NYSDOH, and HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures.
• Maintain documentation of problems and resolutions following GDP.
• Lead department goals aligned with organizational priorities.
• Provide training support and develop training resources as needed.
• Handle specimens following safety policies and standard precautions.
• Communicate and manage change effectively.
