Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking a Senior Clinical Laboratory Scientist to perform moderate and high complexity testing on patient specimens and report results. You will uphold quality and safety standards, contribute to QA/QC, and assist leadership with advanced laboratory duties.

The role requires the ability to work a Sat-Mon shift (6a–6:30p), lead in troubleshooting, training of staff, and maintaining compliance with local, state, and federal requirements. Travel between sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in laboratory science from an accredited institution.
• 60 semester hours or equivalent, including required chemistry/biology credits.
• Experience with quality control and adherence to SOPs.
• Ability to perform moderate to high complexity tests.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and highly complex tests per SOPs.
• Document quality control procedures and results.
• Troubleshoot and improve testing processes as needed.
• Provide leadership as shift senior scientist and mentor staff.
• Train laboratory personnel and review procedures.
