Job summary

The role requires translating design concepts into precise written specs, collaborating with the design team, and staying current with industry standards. Proficiency in SpecLink, SpecsIntact, and MS Word is preferred; CDT/CCS is desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, interior design, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in specification writing.
• Experience writing specifications for federal projects.
• CSE Certification - CDT or CCS

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of specifications for multiple projects
• Collaborate with the project manager and design team to ensure thorough and accurate preparation of the project manual
• Interpret drawings and related project information to develop and edit project-specific specifications
• Apply a thorough understanding of design requirements to translate project needs into clear, accurate specifications
• Serve as a technical resource on products, materials, and standards, and maintain institutional knowledge
