Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative to connect with medical professionals, promote products, and navigate payer environments in the Chattanooga region. You will implement marketing strategies, communicate clinical benefits, and build strong relationships across accounts.

The role requires relevant degrees or extensive sales/clinical experience, with preferred pharma/biotech exposure and strong communication, influence, and market knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent required per Basic Qualifications for Specialty Representative and Senior Specialty Representative
• Associate's degree plus 4 years of sales experience or High school diploma/GED plus 6 years of sales experience (Specialty Representative)
• Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years sales/clinic experience or Associate degree plus 6 years sales/clinical experience or High school diploma/GED plus 8 years sales/clinical experience (Senior Specialty Representative)
• Preferred: pharma/biotech sales, marketing or clinical experience
• Preferred: oncology/cardiology/inflammation/nephrology/dermatology/rheumatology/neurology/endocrinology/ hepatology/gastroenterology/ bone health/respiratory/hematology/infectious diseases
• Strong influencing and relationship-building skills and local market knowledge

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge of Amgen products to physicians and explain clinical benefits
• Lead branded sales programs and achieve territory targets through in-person and virtual engagement
• Develop accounts, discuss product access and reimbursement, maintain contracts
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy and develop territory plans with District Manager
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and grow as a Specialty Representative
• Demonstrate passion for products throughout the sales cycle and uphold Amgen values
