We offer tailored, cost-effective HCM solutions to address complex client challenges. Currently, we are assisting a Washington, DC-based client in recruiting a Senior Special Security Officer. This is an on-site, full-time, salaried role.

Position Summary : We seek a Senior Special Security Officer to offer technical expertise and support for security initiatives in the National Capital Region, Washington, D.C. The role supports a contract vital to national defense, navigation, and scientific research, requiring robust security measures to protect facilities, personnel, and sensitive data.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Technical Support : Provide advanced support for security systems including access control, surveillance, and emergency communication systems.
2. System Administration : Manage Defense Information System (DISS) and other government tracking systems for security clearance and compliance.
3. Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure operational readiness.
4. Security System Improvement : Collaborate on assessing and upgrading security systems with IT and security teams.
5. Documentation : Keep detailed records of procedures, configurations, incidents, and prepare monthly progress reports.
6. Training : Provide technical training to security personnel on system operation and troubleshooting.

Requirements :

1. Technical Skills : Proven experience with security systems like access control, surveillance, emergency communication.
2. Security Clearance : Active TS/SCI clearance per DD 254 standards.
3. Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with federal security protocols (ICD 705, 704, NISPOM, M-5510.30C, M5510.36B).
4. Problem-Solving : Ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
5. Communication : Excellent verbal and written skills for effective stakeholder interaction.

Facilities & Equipment : Provided by the contract, including computer hardware, software, and access to government tracking systems.

Reporting : Document technical processes and generate monthly reports on progress and challenges.

Supervisory Responsibility : None.

Clearance : Yes, required.

Location : On-site in the National Capital Region, Washington, DC.

Travel : Approximately 10%.

Physical & Technical Environment : Prolonged desk work, ability to lift up to 10 pounds.

Work Hours : Full-time, Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings/weekends.
