Job summary

Blue Signal Search seeks a seasoned fire protection specialist to apply extensive technical and field knowledge in a broader, strategic role. You will solve challenging system issues, influence performance, and serve as a trusted technical resource while maintaining a balanced travel schedule around 25%.

Expect collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, testing, and quality teams, and the opportunity to guide installations, commissioning, and field troubleshooting across diverse environments

Qualifications

• Several years of practical technical experience in specialized fire protection environments.
• Experience with suppression systems and NFPA standards.
• NICET Special Hazards certification valued but not required.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to travel regionally and nationally (~25%).
• Ability to read drawings, schematics, and related engineering docs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate suppression hardware and system configurations through hands-on testing.
• Diagnose difficult equipment and application problems by recreating conditions and analyzing performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to strengthen reliability and system performance.
• Provide advanced technical guidance for clean-agent suppression applications involving cylinders, valves, piping, nozzles, detection, and controls.
• Assist with complex installations, commissioning, system testing, and troubleshooting in the field.
• Apply drawings, schematics, P&IDs, specs, and other technical information to guide decisions.
• Share technical expertise through training and direct support for technicians and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain clear documentation of findings and share insights with teams for future enhancements.
