Hampton City Schools seeks a Coordinator of Special Education to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of services for students with disabilities. The role focuses on IDEA, Section 504 compliance, and improving achievement, behavior, and access to opportunities across the division.

The position requires a Master's degree in special education or related field, Virginia Postgraduate license with endorsements, and at least three years of teaching experience with students

Qualificações

• Master's degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum and Instruction, or related field.
• Virginia Postgraduate Professional license with endorsements in Special Education and Administration and Supervision.
• At least three years of teaching experience with students with disabilities; Educational Leadership experience preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of federal and state regulations governing educating students with disabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Provide leadership and technical expertise in development, implementation, and continuous improvement of special education programs and services.
• Coordinate delivery of special education and related services for qualifying students and supervise support personnel.
• Design and monitors programs and professional development in support of IDEA, Section 504, and related services.
• Monitor data trends and ensure regulatory compliance; conduct site visits and coaching for staff.
• Collaborate with administrators, families, and departments to strengthen systems and ensure high-quality outcomes.
