Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Special Education Program Administrator to lead the development, implementation, and sustainability of the district's Special Education services in Blaine. You will collaborate with school leaders and staff to ensure high-quality programs and compliance with due process rights for students with disabilities.

The role focuses on planning, staffing, training, and program evaluation, with direct supervision of licensed staff, paraeducators, and itinerant personnel.

Qualifications

• Requires Director of Special Education license or eligible for such licensure.
• Master's degree with a specialized license in Special Education.
• Eligibility for Minnesota teaching license or related license (e.g. School Counselor, School Psychologist).
• Strong leadership in Special Education and collaboration across programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead in developing vision, implementation, and sustainability of Special Education services.
• Collaborate with principals and staff to ensure due process rights for students with IEPs.
• Oversee staffing needs, recruitment, and performance evaluations of licensed and paraeducator staff.
• Monitor budgets and ensure compliance with federal/state reporting requirements.
• Provide training and professional development for Special Education staff.
