Job summary

Builders Capital Exchange seeks an experienced Senior Special Assets Loan Officer to manage a portfolio of non-performing and high-risk RTL and construction loans, developing strategic workout approaches to minimize losses and maximize recoveries. You will coordinate with legal, servicing, and capital partners to resolve distressed credits while preserving relationships across the balance sheet.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in special assets, credit workouts, loan servicing, or asset management with RTL or construction/bridge lending focus.
• Strong understanding of workout strategies, foreclosure processes, collateral liquidation, and OREO management.
• Advanced ability to analyze complex financial, operational, and market data to develop optimal resolution strategies.

Responsibilities

• Oversee portfolio of non-performing, distressed, and high-risk RTL and construction loans to minimize losses and ensure compliance.
• Develop, implement, and refine workout strategies based on borrower capacity, project status, collateral condition, market dynamics, and risk exposure.
• Lead reviews of problem loans and determine appropriate resolution strategies and exit options.
• Present detailed workout recommendations and risk assessments to senior management and capital partners.
